tilo verfügt über zwei voneinander unabhängige Verfahren,
die Holz im Außenbereich zu allerhöchster Dauerhaftigkeit
verhelfen. Die Verfahren können sowohl separat als auch
kombiniert eingesetzt werden und geben somit einen natür
lichen Oberflächen- und Tiefenschutz.
Durch der Thermobehandlung wird das Holz beträchtlich
beständiger gegen Pilze und Holzschädlinge sowie wesentlich
dimensionsstabiler. Je nach Intensität der Behandlung erhält
das Holz einen edlen, mehr oder weniger dunklen Farbton von
rotbraun bis schwarz. Dieser Effekt stellt tilo Outdoorprodukte
in ästhetischer Hinsicht auf eine Stufe mit exklusiven dunklen
Tropenhölzern.
Beim Natwood
®
-Prozess werden unter erhöhtem Druck natür-
liche Baumharze in das Holz eingebracht. Durch die aufwän-
dige „Bernstein-Tiefenveredelung“ werden die Zellwände mit
einer wasserabweisenden Schutzschicht überzogen. Dadurch
wird das Harz sehr robust und dauerhaft wie Bernstein.
tilo has two independent processes which give wood the very
greatest durability outdoors. The processes can be used both
separately and in combination and thus provide natural surface
and deep-penetrating protection.
Due to thermal treatment, the wood is significantly more resistant
to fungi and wood pests and much more dimensionally stable.
Based on the intensity of the treatment, the wood acquires a
sophisticated, more or less dark colour ranging from reddish
brown to black. This effect puts tilo outdoor products on the same
aesthetic footing as exclusive dark tropical woods.
During Natwood
®
-process natural tree resins are pressed into
the wood under high pressure. The complex deep-action ’amber‘
treatment coats the cell walls with a water-resistant layer.
As a result the resin is as robust and durable as amber.
